It is the pink ribbon on an international symbol for breast cancer, or is it just America? ?
I have a close family friend in Belgium and was recently diagnosed with breast cancer cancer. I'm doing a care package for her, so I was wondering if the pink ribbon is a symbol International breast cancer. Also, if you have any ideas for gifts that would be great.
How very kind of you! I think the pink ribbon has become international. Working with a group that "care" packages for women with breast cancer. We include things like cd's (both Melissa Ethridge and Olivia Newton John have CD's with songs of inspiration that are wonderful) and some "special" small books and cards with a strong message of hope. I was far from one of my sisters when she was diagnosed and her favorite thing I sent was "weapons" to cut out of heavy paper. I sent a note to I could get myself, here was a hug when needed. Yes, I know it sounds childish, but he laughed and let him know I was thinking about it.
