Giving gifts to a newly wed couple is very hard to decide which is best for them. Knowing the bride and groom well is an advantage on picking the right gift for the couple.
But like any gifts, we should be very particular in picking it as they enter a new life together. The very first things that you should put in mind are the useful things a married couple need. It’s a house and lot, a car, a living room set, dining set, etc. It’s up to you! But I know that not all of us can give those kinds of things as a wedding gift. Always remember, you can always give a gift that is not too expensive. If you can’t afford those things, then let it be! There are still many gifts that are more valuable compared to those. You don’t have to give expensive gifts just to make the couple impressed. And it doesn’t mean that they will never forget you because of that certain gift that you gave them. What’s important is, even though you gave them a very simple gift which is not too expensive, as long as you gave it from your heart that is all that matters.
Making your wedding gift memorable to the couple who are dear to you is important both to them and to you. People often notice when you’ve taken the extra effort to find the right gift for them and they appreciate you even more.
There are instances that you are invited to a wedding to a newly meet friend or a new officemate and you’re reluctant not to bring a gift when you attend the wedding day. So you might feel self-conscious and force yourself to buy one but you don’t have any idea about what to buy. Let me tell you this, giving cash is not bad. It is the easiest way out from the hustles of gift hunting. Who might know? Maybe it can help the bride and groom to pay for the rent of their house or they can add it to put up a little business.
One more thing! When your boss invited you to attend to his wedding party, you might feel that you’re obliged to give him/her a gift. What can I suggest is that you chip-in with your colleagues if you don’t want it to look like you’re getting minimum wage that you buy her a cheap inexpensive gift.
